What this covers
This policy describes the Wind Down mobile app in its current source. The app is a sensor-free bedtime routine. It does not read sleep, health, microphone, or motion data, and it does not create an account.
Wind Down is free and local-first. There is no trial, subscription, or paid unlock.
Website visits: These pages do not add cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising tags. The website hosting provider may process ordinary request data under its own privacy policy.
What stays on the phone
- Your routine
- Step names, lengths, order, window time, appearance, and whether a local nudge is on.
- Nights
- Local records of nights you finish or interrupt, stored on this device.
- Settings
- Presentation choices such as light or dark appearance for admin screens.
The app does not upload this content, sell it, use it for advertising, or sync it to a cloud account. Your phone's backup settings may include this local app data. Apple or Google manages those backups under its own policies; Wind Down does not run a backup or sync service.
What can leave the device
Optional local notification
If you allow one quiet nudge, the operating system shows a local notification at the time you chose. The schedule lives on the device. Turning the nudge off removes it.
What the app does not collect
Name, email, phone, sleep or health data, microphone, motion, advertising identifier, analytics events, and crash reports are not requested and are not linked in the current build.
Your choices
Erase everything
The in-app erase action removes the local routine, nights, and settings on this phone. This does not remove copies held by your phone's backup service. Manage those copies in your device backup settings.
Uninstalling also deletes the local record. Wind Down keeps no server copy; device backups are managed separately.
